DNA PATERNITY TEST
Whether you need to prove paternity for child support, inheritance, or other legal matters, our results are accepted by courts and other government agencies.
At Smart DNA, we offer a court-approved legal DNA test for clients who need their test results to be used in a court of law. A DNA legal test can be used to settle different family-related legal matters like alimony, child custody, child support, inheritance dispute, change of name on birth certificate, and more. These test results provide reliable evidence of who the biological father or mother is.
It is important to understand that the legal paternity DNA test is different from a standard home paternity test, which is only done for peace of mind. For a legal DNA test to be admissible by the court, it must be carried out under the proper chain of custody. This means that sample collection must be carried out in front of a judge or in the presence of a court-appointed representative.

The process of getting a legal DNA test is simple and straightforward. Here's what you can expect:
Order a Test
01
You will be booked for an appointment at our office where the samples will be collected from the parties concerned.
02
We will collect cheek (buccal) swabs from all the parties to be tested under the proper chain of custody.
03
Once your samples have been properly collected, we send them to our accredited laboratory where they are tested and reviewed twice to ensure quality.
04
The results are provided within 5 to 7 working days after the collection of your samples.
At Smart DNA, we also offer legal DNA testing using other sample types like hairs, bloodstains, fingernails, clothes, and more. You can use this method when it is impossible to provide a saliva (oral swab) sample.
