By accessing the Smart DNA website, booking a test, purchasing a service, submitting samples, or otherwise using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Smart DNA provides access to DNA and related genetic testing services, including relationship testing, legal DNA testing, immigration DNA testing, prenatal DNA testing, maternity testing, indirect relationship testing, diagnosis testing, oncology testing, carrier testing, and certain wellness-related genetic services.

You represent that:

• the information you provide is accurate
• you are authorised to request the service
• where you submit a sample or request testing for another person, you have lawful authority and valid consent
• where a minor is involved, you have parental responsibility or other lawful authority

Smart DNA facilitates the arrangement, collection, coordination, and reporting of testing services through accredited laboratory partners and authorised channels. Certain services are for peace of mind only, while others are for legal, immigration, or official purposes and require stricter identity and chain-of-custody procedures.

A booking is not final until confirmed by Smart DNA. We may request additional information, identification documents, consent documents, or payment confirmation before proceeding.

You are responsible for ensuring that samples submitted to Smart DNA are collected lawfully and in accordance with our instructions. Smart DNA may reject a sample where:

• consent is missing or doubtful
• identity cannot be verified
• sample quality is insufficient
• documentation is incomplete
• the requested use does not match the collection method

Test results are issued based on the samples and information provided. Turnaround times are estimates and may vary due to logistics, documentation issues, laboratory processing, sample insufficiency, re-testing needs, public holidays, or events outside our reasonable control.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, Smart DNA does not provide legal advice, immigration advice, or medical diagnosis through the website. Customers should obtain professional advice where required.

Smart DNA treats customer information and results as confidential and discloses them only to authorised persons, required service providers, or authorities where legally required.

All fees must be paid in accordance with the payment terms stated at the time of booking. Prices may change from time to time. A booking may not proceed until payment or deposit requirements are met.

Refunds, cancellations, failed collections, insufficient samples, and re-sampling are governed by Smart DNA's separate Refund, Cancellation and Resampling Policy.

All content on the Smart DNA website, including text, graphics, logos, layout, and branding, belongs to Smart DNA or its licensors and may not be copied, modified, republished, or exploited without permission.

You may not use the website or services:

• for unlawful purposes
• to submit false or misleading information
• to attempt unauthorised access to systems or results
• to interfere with the operation or security of the website
• to upload harmful or malicious content

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Smart DNA shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, punitive, reputational, or consequential loss arising from use of the website or services. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes shall first be addressed in good faith through written notice. If unresolved, the parties may submit the matter to the competent courts in Lagos, Nigeria, or such other dispute resolution process as Smart DNA may lawfully specify.
